How it works

How the bot works

Midas opens a basket, adds to it by grid, and exits in trailing profit. If price moves far, it locks with a single order. All of it plays out live on the chart.

01 · TRADING

Grid by trend, exit on a pullback

  • Opens a basket in the direction of the trend.
  • Price moves against it — adds an order with double the lot at a set step; the average entry (breakeven) follows the market.
  • A small pullback — the basket turns profitable, the bot closes it with a trailing exit.
  • And starts a new basket.

02 · PROTECTION

Smart lock — time instead of a stop-out

  • Grid is full and price keeps going — the bot places the lock: an opposite position for the whole volume, in a single order, as fast as a regular one.
  • From that moment the loss is frozen — wherever price goes next, the minus stops growing.
  • Exits the lock in pieces: a small docup toward the lock side and closing pairs of orders — volume shrinks cycle by cycle; or the whole series closes once the total result reaches your +$N target.
  • All of it can run automatically (autolock "Grid full") or with a manual tap on the panel.

The lock does not turn a loss into profit — it buys time and keeps the account from burning on a long one-way move.

Automation

Grid tab

Base lot, step, direction and trading window — the grid opens exactly where you tell it to.

Protection

Autolock tab

Places the lock on its own — once the grid is full and price has moved a set distance further, or by loss / order number. You choose the lock share.

Profit

Exit tab

Closes the whole series once the total result reaches your +$N target.

Control

Alerts tab

Push or sound for every key event — new order, lock armed, series closed.

Platform

Runs inside MetaTrader 5

Midas is an .ex5 Expert Advisor — no separate app, no browser tab, everything happens on the chart.

MetaTrader 5

A cent account with RoboForex (ProCent) or Forex4you (Cent) — see how to open one with our referral code.

VPS, 24/5

Runs 24/5 on a VPS, so the bot stays online while gold trades — see our recommended providers.

Mobile notifications

Push alerts on your phone mirror every event from the panel.

About Midas

Midas, in five facts

QuestionAnswer
What is it?An MT5 Expert Advisor (automated trading bot) for gold, XAUUSD: grid entries, a trailing exit, an optional one-order lock, and an on-chart control panel.
Who is it for?MetaTrader 5 traders who want a hands-off grid strategy on gold, running on a hedging-type MT5 account (ProCent-style) with a VPS to stay online 24/5.
How does it work?It opens a grid of orders by trend, exits on a pullback through a trailing mechanism, and can lock one side of the basket to stop further floating loss instead of taking a stop-out.
How much does it cost?$99 per month (Monthly plan) or $399 one-time with no expiry (Lifetime plan) — same bot, same features in both. Purchased through the Telegram bot @MidasGridBot.
What are the risks?Midas is a martingale-style grid: a strong enough move against an open basket can lose part or all of the deposit. It is not investment advice and does not guarantee profit — see Risk & protection.

Frequently asked questions

What broker/account does Midas need?+
A hedging-type MT5 account (ProCent-style). Netting accounts are not supported because the lock relies on holding opposite positions simultaneously.
Does the bot guarantee profit?+
No — it's trading software: it runs the strategy and protects the account, but the market can move against it. That's why Midas has a lock, autolock and volume reduction. Nothing on this site is an individual investment recommendation.
What does the lock protect against?+
The lock freezes further floating loss on one side of the basket by opening an opposite order. It is insurance against a move getting worse, not a way to make the basket profitable on its own.
What languages does Midas work in?+
The site and the Telegram cabinet are in English, Spanish, German and Russian. The on-chart panel is in English and Russian, switchable in settings.
How much deposit do I need per 0.01 lot?+
$800–1,000 per 0.01 lot — see the "Deposit per base lot" card in Risk & protection.
Do I need a VPS?+
In practice, yes: the EA needs to stay online, including overnight and through weekend gaps. Neither the panel nor the logic technically require a VPS, but a stable connection is on you.
What happens during high-impact news?+
The EA does not read a news calendar separately — it reacts to price movement the same way it does at any other time. A sharp news move can accelerate the next order or the lock arming.
Can I intervene manually while it runs?+
Manually closing or adding orders on the same symbol can desync the EA's internal accounting of the basket. Managing the series through the panel itself is recommended instead of manual orders.
How are updates delivered?+
[TBD: update delivery channel] — we'll announce the delivery method separately.
What is the refund policy?+
[TBD: refund terms] — will be published alongside final pricing and licence terms.
